Volunteering

Free Horizon Montessori is a school community seeking to unite home, school and community to benefit our children. In choosing a Charter School such as Free Horizon, families are choosing a parent-led school in which parent/family involvement is key. Many activities supporting the school are organized and facilitated through the Community Support Network (CSN). All FHM parents are automatically members of the CSN and are encouraged to actively participate. CSN meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the administrative area of the school. Please come join us!

Volunteer involvement is at the core of what out school is about! Each family, upon enrollment at Free Horizon, is asked to commit to a minimum of 30 hours of volunteer support over the course of a year. Many families participate far in excess of that amount, and for that we are all indebted. We understand that each family's circumstances vary - consequently many different choices are available for each of us to meet our volunteer commitment.

Thank you, and we hope you and your children have a great school year!!

Are you looking for ways to fulfill your 30 hour volunteer commitment? We have made it easy by providing a Volunteer Task List which you can find both on our website and in the Parent Lounge.
